Sparring Gear

Sparring gear is a must if your kids are into martial arts. Eventually they are going to have to spar with another person. This is one of the best ways to train. Blasting away at a punching bag is great but a real person is even better. If they are going to spar you are going to have to get some sparring gear. Not only will it give your kids the best protection but it will be required by the school where they are being taught.

So what do you get? There are kits available that have everything that your kids are going to need in order to spar safely. Starting from the top to the bottom this is what you are going to need.

Padded Head Gear – This will protect your kids head and face should their opponent land any powerful blows to the area. It is very important and should not be overlooked.

Mouth Piece – Most kits will include a soft rubber two piece mouth piece to protect your children's teeth.

Padded gloves – Protect your kid's hands. Constantly punching can damage your kid's hands without the proper protection.

Chest Pad – This is usually optional and not required by most facilities. Ask yours to make sure.

Shin Guards – Again these are usually optional.

Foot gloves – Just like the hands, the feet are going to need plenty of protection. A good pair of foot gloves will do just that.

You can get all of these pieces separately, but it is a lot cheaper to just get a whole kit and most of them include a handy carrying bag. Get s good set of kids sparring gear for your child's protection.
